Where I disappear to reappear

Little River is the halfway point between Akaroa and Christchurch. I love it here. I stop for coffee and cake, and I relish a release of all I am not.

You see, by the time I reach Little River, I have let go of Christchurch: I am not a mother or wife, daughter or healer, friend or neighbour; I am just who I am without those labels.

And we are vast when we let go of our labels of limitation because then we are not limiting our experiences within these boundaries of identity. Instead, we are open to honour the fullness of our existence.

I retreat to Akaroa when I’m in need of space, freedom, transformation, and alone time. I’ll often go in between seasons, as if I’m shedding leaves in preparation for new growth — a letting go and a welcoming at the same time.

I have journeyed more deeply into the unknown, into my truth, in Akaroa than anywhere else in the world. The reason I have achieved that journeying within so deeply in Akaroa is because my heart feels happy there. My heart expresses happiness in Akaroa. It divinely blooms when I am in Akaroa.

And that bloom in my heart remains — not like blossoms on a tree or a perennial during the summer — it remains open always. Every time I bloom in Akaroa, I brighten my always within.

My always is my divine truth, my fullness within, my presence of Love that I am. My always is my eternal Brilliance of Love that resides within my core. I can feel deeply this always at all times. I can feel my always, always. It’s always with me, it’s always aware, it’s always guiding me, and it’s always perfectly enabling the blooming of my heart.

Do you have a heart-opening part of the world you go to? Or do you bloom freely at home? Neither is right or wrong. You see, how and when and why we bloom is irrelevant.

Do we ever question a blossom? Do we ever demand answers from a perennial? Do we ever extract information from the scent of a rose?

There’s no need to seek beyond the truth. So I don’t question Akaroa’s powerful impact on my blooming, I just understand that my blooming has been impacted by Akaroa.

Thank you. Kirsty
