I woke up feeling irritable, and during my morning meditation, this Popcorn Song — that wrote itself in my kitchen years ago — popped into my awareness.
From my deep seat within, I observed this memory, and I realised that I’d shared this post years ago not only to have a laugh, but also to own the reality of my messy life at the time.
Now, that might seem over-the-top, for truly, is burnt popcorn a reflection of a messy life?
Well, if messy is the unconscious force of action, the truth of overdoing, of doing with little being, then yes, burnt popcorn is a Brilliant representation of a messy life!
You see, sometimes, we POP POP POP or DO DO DO without awareness of that which fuels such action, without ever questioning why we feel a need to GO GO GO, and without this awareness of our underlying motivation, we might find our life fills with nothing that truly nourishes who we are.
Like popcorn, the results of our doing might be empty of nutritional value.
But Source has a wondrous way of guiding us back into alignment, of alerting us to a need to recalibrate, if recalibrate speaks of honouring not our welldoing but our wellbeing.
We’re gifted burn-out. No matter the heat, there’s no more POP. There’s a STOP to the POP, if you like.
But if used wisely, if we turn off the heat and allow ourselves to soak a little in the waters of our bliss, which is simply holding ourselves in the Love that we are, then our burn-out helps us become aware of our underlying motivations.
Why is this necessary? Because awareness offers us choice, and choice empowers us to be the Co-Creator in any now.
I became aware this morning that I was being motivated by a desire to DO, and irritability was my smoking point, if you like, alerting me to this DOING energy that was a little hotter than I could handle.
In mediation, I was able to be with this overdoing energy in a way that served me very well. It gifted me this insight, this Wisdom to share, and it gifted me the opportunity to make a choice:
I could charge into my day with DOING as my focus, or I could ease into DOING with awareness of my BEING so that wellness could be embodied in my actions.
Become aware of what motivates your POP so that you feast on that which nourishes your truth.
With Love Kirsty
